ReGaWatt GmbH plans and builds highly-efficient energy systems based on all types of biomass made from mechanical pulp. The technological core component is an updraft gasifier with a fuel performance of 1 to 5 MW. The combination of this highly robust gasifier with different modules deigned to ensure clean combustion, gas cleaning systems, gas engines, ORC system, heat recovery, etc. gave rise to the Kombi Power System®. References can be found in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Japan. After a 10-year development process, pilot systems and second generation commercial systems, our aim is too make the Kombi Power System more cost effective and fuel-flexible. To this end, a small test system – fully equipped with gas cooling and ESP – has been designed and built. Thanks to this test system, we can now test and assess special customer fuels.
