Named after George Bryan ‘Beau’ Brummell, who was credited with introducing (and establishing as a fashion) the modern men’s suit in the eighteen hundreds, Brummell, who was very good friends with Prince Regent (later King George IV), established the mode of dress for men that rejected the overly ornate style of the time, for one of understated, but perfectly fitted and tailored clothing.
