Regina Bypass

The Regina Bypass team and the Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways completed the Regina Bypass on October 29, 2019. This project, the largest transportation infrastructure project in the province’s history, is vital to ensuring the continuing economic prosperity and vitality of Saskatchewan and of the Regina region in particular. The Regina Bypass Project not only consists of the design and build of the Bypass, but also 30 years of regular maintenance, reconstruction and snow removal. At the end of the 30-year period, the entire Bypass will be handed over to the province in “like-new” condition. On November 1, 2019 the Regina Bypass Operations and Maintenance (O&M) assumed the contract for the operation and maintenance for the entire Regina Bypass route. Maintenance work will ensure the safety of the traveling public, early identification and removal of public hazards including: • Winter maintenance • Summer maintenance • Road surface maintenance • Roadside maintenance
