At Rekindle we create and share opportunities for resourcefulness by promoting the skills and knowledge involved in creating what we need from the life within us and around us, for the wellbeing of planet and people. We transform local resources through care and craft, this being the opposite of wastefulness. Resourcefulness requires us to engage with our inner resources whilst building relationship with the life around us, and in this ongoing exchange we realise the inseparable nature of life on Earth. Being truly resourceful connects us within communities as we share the resources we have. The word resource was originally derived from the Latin resurgō meaning rise again. Life on Earth is deeply resourcefulness in the inherent ability of all life to continually rise again. Perhaps the form of life will change or decay, but it will always rise again. Just as the slow changes in a mountain range may seem barely perceptible, it’s resourcefulness continues across millions of years. The rock is alive with change from one state to the next as it continues to rise. All states in this constant movement of change are welcome and celebrated.
