Remade Usa

Founded by Shannon South in 2009, Remade USA is a sustainably-minded accessory design studio based in Brooklyn, NY. We use reclaimed leather to make beautiful limited edition handbags and accessories with an attention to quality and durability - using only materials sourced from the waste stream. We use POST-consumer waste in the form of vintage leather jackets and also PRE-consumer waste in the form of discarded, imperfect hides from the leather industry. We make all of our bags in Brooklyn. Our bags have sold at Barneys NY and other independent fashion boutiques around the US. We have shown at Capsule, Designers & Agents, NY NOW, and have also been part of The Green Shows presentation at Lincoln Center Fashion Week. We've been written up in Fast Company, LA Times, Style.com, Treehugger, and others. We also won Daily Candy's Sweetest Thing award back in 2009, our first year in operation. Additionally, we offer a custom service where we make leather handbags from our customers personal clothing pieces which are often treasured for their memories and sentiment. Our goal is to create chic, practical, every day bags with the smallest footprint possible.
