Remember The Miners: America's Real Source of Energy. Remember The Miners is dedicated to honoring coal miners and their legacy through public awareness campaigns and charitable contributions. The organization's flagship scholarship fund, The Scholars Program, was created in partnership with the West Virginia Coal Foundation to support families of the West Virginia mining community. Awardees of the scholarship are miners, dependents of miners, or students pursuing higher education in the mining industry. Applicants submitted essays about the importance of coal and its future in America. Remember The Miners, LLC is a charitable organization committed to raising public awareness for our nation’s coal miners through scholarships, events and media. The organization is structured to qualify as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt charity and is in the process of completing the IRS filing process required for formal recognition of its tax exempt status.
