Renew Urban is a development consulting service, with practice areas in affordable housing and urban renewal. Owner, Neil Saxby, has 15 years of experience developing high quality affordable housing. During this time Neil has developed 25+ affordable housing communities throughout Northern California including both new construction and acquisition rehab. Neil has worked for three Bay Area affordable housing developers: as Senior Project Manager for SAHA, Associate Director for Eden Housing, and Director of Development for BRIDGE Housing. Before moving to the US in 2005, Neil worked as an economic development consultant in Johannesburg, South Africa where he advised public sector clients on the economic impact of large public sector projects, and real estate developer clients on market demand and financial feasibility. Neil has a Master's in Urban Planning from the University of Cape Town, and an MBA from the University of California, Davis.
