After completing a two year business studies course in Devon, Amanda or Mandy to those who know her worked in London at the headquarters of mechanical engineering company, CJB, as PA to the Construction Manager before promotion to Public Relations Officer. After marriage to Peter, co-founder of Safety First Manufacturing, she became involved in all aspects of the growing business from the ground up since the company was established in 1981. She now lives in Melbourne, Australia with her second husband, John, and their chocolate Labradoodle called Rosie-Peroni, who certainly deserves a mention in this short biographical Mandy also has a son called Ben, who has been an Australian citizen since the age of 18.
