RFAY is a Non-Governmental Organization led by committed and dynamic women and girls present in sixteen (13 active countries, and 3 countries that have just joined us) countries in Africa. Our mission is to create a world where women and girls have equal rights through the promotion and advocacy of women's rights, leadership and entrepreneurship. We ensure that women and girls are fulfilled in all areas of life. By acquiring their rights to own property, vote, run for office, participate in decision-making processes, receive a fair wage, and live free from all forms of violence including family violence, domestic violence, sexual assault, rape, sexual harassment in the workplace and academia, and harmful practices such as genital mutilation/cutting, sexual exploitation, and child marriage. We are fighting for women and girls to be recognized as partners in development and to be at the decision-making table in all areas of life. The Yali-RFAY Women's Alumnae Network federates different NGOs for a better world. RFAY gathers about 300 local organizations. RFAY is represented in each country by a leadership team that is a women's and girls' rights organization working in rural and urban areas. RFAY works in the areas of women's entrepreneurship, governance, education, sexual and reproductive health, advocacy for women's and girls' rights, inclusion, leadership, agriculture, training, social assistance and all issues of gender, development and equity.
