Resilience Melbourne is the private psychology practice of Chris Horan. Chris sees men and women who are experiencing a range of mental health, lifestyle and relationship difficulties, or difficulties adjusting to changes in their lives. His rooms are conveniently located in three inner Melbourne locations: Richmond, St Kilda Road and Fitzroy North. He specialises in addressing emotional difficulties, such as depression, anxiety, shame, stress or burnout, related to: work, study and career issues; bullying and abuse; prejudice and minority stress; grief and loss; low self esteem; relationship/attachment insecurity; high sensitivity; and unhelpful/avoidant coping. Having developed a deep understanding of resilience in his doctoral research, Chris is especially skilled at supporting his clients to establish the foundations for a more fulfilling, productive, resilient and healthy life. Medicare rebates are available Depending on the needs of each client, Chris draws on different therapeutic modalities. These include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment therapy, Mindfulness and Self Compassion, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing and Emotion-Focused Therapy.
