Resolution Counselling

I am able to offer open-ended Person-Centred Counselling in the Nottinghamshire area. I am fully insured and registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I undertook a BSc (HONS) Counselling and Psychotherapy Principles and Practices at the University of Derby. I have worked for Nottingham City Council for 6 years as a Community Protection Officer, helping the local community. I have worked as an ambulance care assistant for 2 years; transporting children and adults to hospital appointments. I volunteered for Bloomin' Dementia charity in Ruddington, helping people with dementia and their families. I enjoy helping people and I believe that compassion, empathy and respect are important attributes to show to people that they are important; no matter what walk of life they come from or if they are rich or poor. I give my full attention to my clients, always being 100% with them on their journey. I have committed all my life helping people and went to university late in life to study Counselling, I undertook placement training at a technical college as a counsellor for pupils aged 13+ and the staff. my expertise is in the Humanistic model devised by Carl Rogers and it is a non-directive therapy unlike CBT which can be a one-size fits all approach.
