While we have been around since 2007, Resonance Consulting Services has been of recent, actively working towards a stronger tomorrow. We believe that South Africa needs innovative ways in which to effect transformation. This is an imperative to growth and involves inclusion, engagement and finding collaborative solutions together. We have also recently improved on our Resonance Consulting Development Framework which emphasizes that good research is one of the most important bases for sound decision making. OUR RECENT SUCCESSES We are pleased to announce that in November 2017 Resonance Consulting completed an overall synopsis of the achievements and challenges experienced during the implementation of the National Skills Development Strategy (NSDS for the period 2016/2017. This is a project we undertook for the National Skills Authority. The report feeds into the wider context of monitoring and improving the overall performance within the skills development landscape. Its intention is to assist stakeholders develop insights into the actual delivery of the strategy, thereby helping stakeholders identify opportunities for improvement and standardisation. Where possible, the report makes recommendations for such improvements. The evaluation processes undertaken for the report included comprehensive data sets received from each of the 21 Sector Education and Training Authority (SETA) and the various Provincial Skills Development Forums (PSDFs) by the National Skills Authority (NSA) on a quarterly basis. These were collated and evaluated against Seven Pillars of the NSDS Initiatives from the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC), NSA and Labour Market Intelligence Partnership (LMIP) were also included. Since skills development is also pivotal in advancing the transformation agenda in South Africa, the data sets were interrogated to identify the extent to which skills provisioning initiatives targeted priority groups.
