At ResponsibleSteel, we believe in our mission to be a driving force in the socially and environmentally responsible production of net-zero steel. We are a not-for-profit, multi-stakeholder, standards and certification organisation founded to bring together businesses from across the steel value chain as well as civil society organisations, policymakers, and financial institutions to build a more responsible steel industry. We have built a consensus on what sustainability looks like for steel covering a wide range of issues, including- Climate change and GHG emissions - Biodiversity - Water Management - Pollution - Labour rights - Community and stakeholder engagement - Responsible materials sourcing Our Members include steelmakers, mining companies, buyers of steel from automotive and construction, as well as civil society organisations focused on labour rights, biodiversity, climate change, and many other important issues.
