Reuther Engineering & Machine Company is a full service, industrial repair shop based in Newark, NJ. We specialize in on- site field machining and in shop machining to the greater New York metropolitan and Philadelphia areas. Established in 1949, Reuther specializes in services to major electric utilities, resource recovery plants, independent power producers, facility maintenance companies, large and small industrial customers, and on-site and in-shop industrial equipment repair. A large inventory of portable machining equipment allows us to quickly mobilize for on-site projects. Our staff of skilled machinists, welders and mechanics are members of the International Association of Machinists (IAM). Engineers offer design and documentation for custom projects, fabricating replacement parts or maintenance procedures. Ken Rys, General Manager and principal, has worked exclusively in industrial engineering and service industries, including almost 20 years with the General Electric Company. A graduate of Parks College School of Engineering, he has owned Reuther Engineering since 1985.
