Reversal Films produces culturally significant films for distribution to niche and general audiences. Since incorporating in Spring 2007 in Austin, Texas, Reversal has sold two award-winning documentaries, one earning a Gotham Award nomination, produced Freeman Film's Skateland starring Twilight’s Ashley Greene (2010 release), produced its own original documentary Echotone (2010 release), and has received coverage in Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Reversal is distinguished by its centralized producer team of four principals specialized in all phases of film finance to distribution, filling an infrastructural gap in Texas and the broader industry to source top creative talent, produce premium quality films, and distribute through major and independent film channels. Reversal has operated an office since inception called The Integrated Media Community (The IMC), which hosts complementary businesses such as a 3D animation and post effects team, a post editing firm, and a professional sound design and music composition company. IMC clients have included Universal Pictures, Sony Pictures, Troublemaker Studios, and MTV. Reversal’s bi-annual concert event in Austin, the “ATX Series,” draws over people to celebrate convergence in Austin’s media arts community. Reversal maintains talent and distributor relationships in New York and Los Angeles, and frequent industry festivals, and has created film opportunities with Oscar-winning Executive Producers, festival-winning Directors, and rising stars.
