Reviving Veterinary Medicine (RVM) is dedicated to improving the mental health and wellbeing of veterinary professionals worldwide. Founded by Dr. Marie Holowaychuk, a board-certified emergency and critical care specialist, RVM emerged from Marie’s own battle with burnout and her commitment to transforming the veterinary profession. With a passion for teaching, she combines her expertise in veterinary medicine with mental health, mindfulness, and self-care to empower professionals to lead sustainable, fulfilling careers. At RVM, we offer a variety of resources, programs, and services designed to support the mental and emotional well-being of veterinary teams. Our signature programs like From Toxic to Terrific, Building Better Boundaries, and From Burnout to Balance provide evidence-based tools to help individuals and teams navigate stress, prevent burnout, and cultivate healthier work environments. We also offer Lunch & Learns, Critical Incident Group Debriefing (CIGD), Coaching, and a wealth of free resources including handouts, meditations, posters, and external wellness resources. Dr. Marie’s work has extended beyond the classroom to global platforms, where she speaks, facilitates workshops, and leads retreats focused on veterinary wellness. As a result, Reviving Vet Med has become a movement, supported by a dedicated team, working towards systemic change within the veterinary profession.
