Rewriting Adoption

We believe that it's time to rewrite the narrative of adoption and give adoptees the platform they deserve to share their stories and experiences. For too long, the adoption narrative has been told from the perspective of adoptive parents and has been told in an overly positive light, often placing undue pressure on adoptees to only feel grateful and appreciative. This limits the range of emotions they can express and leaves out important stories that need to be heard. By highlighting adoptee voices and stories, we hope to create a more inclusive and representative adoption narrative and one that acknowledges the unique challenges and triumphs of the adoptee journey.
