Rheabiotech is a university-incubated start-up focused on bringing immunology-based innovation to the market. Founded by Campinas University (upstate São Paulo) researchers, the company started producing antibodies for R&D labs, public and private, in 2004, and then went on to develop partnerships with leading Brazilian researchers and institutions to help them transform their innovation into products for the market, under the form of diagnostics kits. Presently market-testing a soybean rust early detection kit, and in the final development phase of citrus (CTV) and potato (PVX/Y) disease detection kits. Product pipeline also includes a Salmonella kit for pork and an anti-Interleukin-6 (IL-6) diagnosis kit, first in a series of future humanized antibody-based products.
