Rhizome originates in Nordic region which defines our aesthetics and design approach. Albeit, we exist and live beyond the boundaries. We create residential and public architecture, work on creative reuse of existing structures and develop projects in the fields of culture and hospitality. Working on different scales, we embody our principles and ideas in a wide range of objects. From tiny cabins hidden in the woods to re-thinking cityscapes. Our approach is based on constant reevaluation of well-established views and practices in an attempt to create spaces that meet the needs of the present, keeping future in mind. With every new project we deepen our expertise in contemporary construction methods such as modular and prefab and mass timber constructions. We do not view our works separately from social, cultural and environmental conditions that determine and influence them. Architecture for us is a way to comprehend reality, to look behind the scenery and to see what lies beneath the façade of many processes.
