Rice Engineering & Operating Ltd. is a Canadian owned company which was established in 1952. Its main office, warehouse and manufacturing plant is located at 8505 Argyll Road, Edmonton, Alberta. Additional offices and warehousing are located in Calgary and Redwater, Alberta. The company's 38 employees are engaged in activities primarily associated with the petroleum, groundwater, waterwell and geotechnical industries. We supply primarily to Western Canadian industries, although we have occasionally engaged in exporting activities. Rice is a supplier of high and low pressure pipeline fittings, industrial pumps, drilling products, environmental groundwater monitoring products, and geotechnical products. OILFIELD OPERATIONS Since 1956, Rice Engineering & Operating Ltd. has operated Redwater Water Disposal Company Limited, a company which is responsible to the oil producers in the Redwater oilfield for the disposal of oilfield brine. The disposal system, which was designed and constructed by Rice is currently comprised of 49 deep disposal wells and 90 miles of pipeline.
