Richard Blair

RB is a producer / engineer with 20 years of experience making records. He began his career with Peter Gabriel at Real World studios where he worked with some of the best engineers and producers in the world such as Daniel Lanois, Brian Eno and Bob Ezrin. He has developed a unique and recognisable sound that can be heard in Sidestepper and many bands of the Colombian new wave like Chocquibtown and Pernett. He has been a champion of Colombian music since the early 1990's and has produced records for Carlos Vives, Toto La Momposina and Aterciopelados. The ability to combine acoustic and electronic instrumentation has become a real speciality, along with a profound understanding of the groove and how to maximise it in balance and mix.
