The history of Richmar is deeply ingrained in the history of the city itself. In 1945, Marbre Richilieu was opened on the corner of Jean Talon and Saint Urbain, becoming one of the first companies to bring natural stone production to Montreal. The outlet was reborn in 2007 as Richmar, a name chosen as a tribute to its company of origin. Today, Richmar has established itself in Montreal as a premier natural stone countertop supplier. Known for its dedicated, personalized services, this outlet bases its operations on honoring its historic namesake. In order to keep the tradition alive for future generations, Richmar continues to operate as it always has; stoic in its promise to deliver excellence, handcrafted precision, and beauty. We take raw, uncut, unfinished slabs of stone and we work it to utter perfection. In other words, we cut the slabs to size based on your measurements, polish the cut sides, break the sharp edges, add custom holes (for sinks, cooktops, electrical outlets, etc.), give the pieces a final wipe-down and, if specified, install them in your home. Our atelier is built for one thing: to produce stone, and to do so gorgeously. We have the machinery, tools, and trade masters needed to work uncut slabs into pristine showpieces.
