Richmond Elevator (REM) was established in 1974, by Walter and Irene Zachata as a source of elevator installation and maintenance for low-rise apartments. From modest beginnings, REM has grown into a highly successful third generation business providing elevator service for many applications. As a leader in elevator manufacturing, REM provides high-rise traction and low-rise hydraulic packages for a variety of applications. We also know that it is important to provide the right elevator for the right building. We offer custom designed packages in addition to a wide variety of standard products. With new elevator installations in excess of units and thousands of units under contract maintenance, REM has earned the distinction of being the largest independent elevator company in Canada.
