Riding Everest
Riding Everest aims to raise awareness and change perceptions of disability by embarking on a world-first trek to Everest Base Camp. Project leader Max Stainton hopes to be the first person with Cerebral Palsy to trek to Everest Base Camp on horseback, to raise money for the Riding for the Disabled Association and their new National Training Centre in Warwickshire. The organisation is engaged in the creation of short films and socially shareable content to bring conversations around disability to the forefront of public perceptions, as well as hoping to create a feature-length documentary about Max's progress up the mountain, highlighting the struggles of disabled people in their everyday lives.
