Ripple Foundation

Ripple Foundation is a 100% volunteer-run Canadian registered charity dedicated to nurturing creativity, confidence, and critical thinking in children and youth through writing, storytelling, and creative literacy. We create and deliver free community programs that help young people find their voice, build self-confidence, and develop essential communication and problem-solving skills. Our programs include: Kids Write 4 Kids An annual, nationwide creative writing contest for students in Grades 4–8. Winning stories are published as books and made available online, with proceeds donated to a children’s charity chosen by the student—introducing young authors to storytelling with purpose and philanthropy. Write It Workshops Interactive creative writing workshops for students in Grades 4–8, designed to build strong writing foundations through fun, collaborative activities. Workshops encourage self-expression, confidence, and creativity, while preparing young authors to participate in the Kids Write 4 Kids annual contest. Wave Blog A youth-written blog platform for students in Grades 8–12 to share lived experiences, opinions, and advice with their peers. Contributors gain real-world publishing experience and can earn volunteer hours for each published post. Express Inspire Connect Youth Conference An annual youth conference that brings students together for talks, panels, and interactive sessions focused on creativity, leadership, self-expression, and real-world skills—connecting youth with educators, professionals, and mentors beyond the classroom.
