Rise Beyond The Reef

Rise Beyond the Reef is a nonprofit organization helping remote Pacific Island communities rise. We partner with rural, remote indigenous women and their communities to create sustainable livelihoods by producing handmade goods and crops. With a deep commitment to environmental, social, and economic justice, we collaborate with communities in Fiji and other Pacific Island nations to develop innovative solutions that uplift local women and their families. Our programs provide training in traditional handicraft skills, product development and design, market readiness, market access, small business development, semi-commercial agriculture, and leadership development. By celebrating these communities' rich cultural heritage and craftsmanship, we also foster indigenous environmental guardianship and promote the preservation of traditional arts. At Rise Beyond the Reef, we believe traditional knowledge and its people are the best leaders in building climate resilience.
