Risk Ready

Risk Ready works with local governments, institutions, and communities to plan for and deliver practical, people-centered strategies for resilience, climate adaptation, and disaster risk reduction (DRR). We co-develop adaptation, disaster risk reduction and emergency plans with communities and key stakeholders focused on 3 key areas: 1) empowering local actors to understand and utilize the best available climate and disaster risk data to understand vulnerabilities and impacts, integrate it into plans and strategies, as well as into broader operations and development priorities; 2) facilitate participatory planning processes, where all relevant stakeholders are included and engaged meaningfully; 3) ensuring plans are actionable and deliver results by building robust governance, and monitoring and evaluation systems. We work at the intersection of science, policy, and stakeholder engagement, helping partners translate global frameworks and local needs into strategies that effectively reduce climate and disaster risks.
