Risso Creative

Risso Creative is a hub for all things wellness and creativity. I’m Carissa Belham, the founder and intuitive expressionist artist from Brisbane, Australia. I paint mostly abstract, create digital art, and explore mixed media and textiles. Creating intuitively means, I often create how I feel on the day and how I want to express myself. I do this by sharing my love for vibrant and diverse colour palettes. I’ve always been a creative soul. From art classes as a child to studying Graphic Design at the University of the Sunshine Coast. It’s through my wellbeing journey where I’ve really honed my creative practice. My creativity plays an important part in keeping me grounded. It’s my safe haven. It gives me a routine where I can consistently show up, achieve, explore and grow. I am passionate about personal growth and supporting individuals to find and recognise their authentic self-creative style. My personal values are very important to me and shine through the Risso Creative brand. These values are; creativity, innovation, continuous learning, embracing one's individual style, and fostering relationships around the world. It is my mission to consistently show up in my creative practice with joy, passion and love. To let go of judgement and focus mindfully on growth, development and see where my creative practices lead to. My work mostly consists of a free-flowing and fluid nature. I’m continually creating and experimenting with new materials, tools and methods (which I’m always sharing over on Instagram or in my Facebook Community). It’s been a wild and diverse ride so far! My creativity has taken me many places from exhibitions to running painting workshops, to creating a sock brand with a mental health focus. Currently, I am writing an artistic creative memoir highlighting my relationship with mental health and creativity. It is my dream to share my designs and message by licensing my designs to companies who align with the Risso Creative values.
