With more than 30 years of design and project management experience I offer cradle-to-grave product development services. Whether you have a napkin sketch or a functional prototype I can help bring your ideas to market with not only 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, but a deep foundation of solid design principles that will give you the confidence you need to spend your hard-earned money on tooling and materials. I have a solid history of working with international teams of suppliers so you can be confident that when we order something, your expectations will be clearly communicated. As a product designer I will make your products look and perform the way you want them to while also being made with components that are manufacturable in the most economical methods possible. I know assembly processes and materials so we can make your products as easy or difficult to tear down and recycle at the end of their life cycles as you want them to be. As environmental awareness grows the “green story” of your products will become more and more important in the marketplace. As part of my project management offering I will work with you to ensure that proper documentation is maintained throughout the process and that timelines are met. I will also work with certification companies to obtain any regionally required marks-of-approval that will open doors to markets and customers that your competition may lack. Commonly used forms include Statements Of Work, DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, DVP & R, Tolerance Stack-ups, and Dimensional Inspection Reports. In addition to product design and project management services, I offer turn-key fixtures for assembly and testing of products. These fixtures can be as simple as hand-operated clamping devices for aligning parts or they can be fully automated systems with touch screen HMIs and end-of-line printers.
