Having owned a knitwear business in the 1980s and inspired after the birth of her grand-twins, Maggie Rhodes picked up her needles again in 2014 and started creating. This became a blossoming retirement project and, with the help of her daughter, Fiona, Robertson & Rhodes was born. The unofficial slogan was twinning is winning, and the focus was to create hand-crafted, natural woolens that were perfect for delicate newborns that both children and adults could love. Keen that these skills were passed on, the Corona sabbatical proved a perfect time for mother to transfer skills to daughter and now Scottish made also becomes Swiss made with the launch of Robertson & Rhodes 'Made in Switzerland'. The recipe will remain much the same with Fiona focusing on Switzerland and Europe and Maggie the UK and US. You will spot some slightly different colours, and perhaps the occasional limited run but otherwise the construction, quality and finish remain the same perfected simplicity.
