It's what we do, it's what we've always done and for over years, we have been using metal to make knives, but there is a new technology arriving - Rocknife - Ceramic Knives in Evolution. Rocknives are designed beautifully and their sharpness lasts for years unlike steel blades. Rocknives are made from very high quality Zirconium Oxide giving them a technological edge over other knife making processes. We've added a a specially formulated stabilizing material too - it's called Yttrium and it gives the blade greater strength and durability. Our blades are then further strengthen by a final Hot Isostatic Pressing. The hardness of our ceramic blades is rated 8.5 on the Mons scale of mineral hardness, steel is rated 7 and diamond 10.
