Rookie Slash

Rookie Slash promotes inclusion and empowerment through board and outdoor sports. Rookie Slash is born as a winter program in the Association Lémanique de Ski et Snowboard Freestyle (ALSF) in 2021-2022. The initial project allowed 10 young refugees to discover and learn skateboarding, trampolining, and skiing/ snowboarding. These activities further allowed them to be introduced to the local freestyle community. Thanks to the winter program’s success, coaches and organizers decided to create the NGO Rookie Slash to pursue and scale-up the initiative. Today, we introduce children from migrant backgrounds to skateboarding, slackening, climbing, water jumping, trampolining, skiing, and snowboarding.
