Room To Write

We are a non-profit company that leads writing workshops in NYC public schools. We operate in three NYC public schools-Bronx Early College Academy, Park Slope School for Journalism, and the Heritage School-and teach grades 7 through 10. To give students a better understanding about publishing, we work in conjunction with Slice Magazine and the students complete a 1-2 page story to get published in their new writers section. We also publish a literary journal featuring various stories, poetry and essays completed over the course of the school year in June for the students to see their work in print and share their writing with friends and family.
