Roro Bbq

We have been in business since 2006 at our Wallingford location. I come from a logging family and started cooking in the logging camps during summers. After high school I wanted to find some sun so I moved to Bay Area in Californian. There I got into the coffee and café business. That’s where I started to BBQ. I started off grilling tri tip and quickly moved into smoking other meat and fish. When I decided to come home to Seattle I was on the hunt for that smoky flavor. When I couldn’t find what I was looking for I decided to open my own place. I found a location but couldn’t think of a name. While having a very intellectual conversation with my two year old niece she tried to say my name (Rob) but it came out RoRo, that quickly became my nick name and the name of the restaurant. The menu and recipes have changed some over the years as I learn new techniques and the palate of Seattle changes.
