Rotterdam Fruit Wharf

Rotterdam Fruit Wharf (RFW) is active in fruit logistics. Located in the Merwehaven in Rotterdam, we operate a 10ha facility with deep water berths. In our 4 large warehouses, we offer the conditioned storage of up to pallets, at temperatures ranging from -1°C to 16°C. Our customers buy fresh fruit in the southern hemisphere and have it shipped oversea to Rotterdam, either in 40' reefercontainers or in specialised reefer vessels, which can berth right at our quays. From arrival at the container terminals in Rotterdam, RFW takes over control of the cargo. Transport to our facilities, either by truck or by barge, stripping, storage, right up to loading on outgoing trucks to any destination in Europe. In the meantime, RFW takes care of all customs- and importformalities. RFW handles in excess of pallets per year, employs 35 fixed staff and hires as many temporary staff as necessary, depending on the a.o. the season. RFW is part of the Kivits Logistics Group.
