We are building a model of a diverse and inclusive school and community to end segregation and education inequity in Slovakia. Based in Bratislava, we are building and evaluating a pilot of an inclusive school open to all students and their community to then roll out into the system. Schools in Slovakia are the most segregated based on socio-economic background from the whole EU and Slovakia ranks extremely badly in other segregation and inequity measures as well. This impacts disadvantaged students the most, but studies show that advantaged students also fail to develop crucial 21st century skills in segregated schools. We will then share our proof-point model to all schools across Slovakia, helping them implement best practices in their journey towards inclusivity. For a better, more equitable future for all.
