Our History Our predecessor Rubottom & Associates was founded in 1977 by Harlan E. Rubottom, Rubottom & Associates progressed through the years in a number of different forms. Through his experience Harley realized that there is a continuing and growing need for quality tax and business advice provided in a personalized and timely manner at a reasonable cost. Amy M. Tekavec his daughter took over the firm in late 2016 after obtaining her Enrolled Agent certificate. Changing the name to RT Tax & Consulting, LLC and the structure to a tax firm instead of a CPA firm. Our Credentials Harley is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants. Harley passed the Accredited Financial Planning Specialist exam in December 1985 receiving the highest score of all those examined. He is the first specialist ever accredited in this profession and holds certificate number one! Amy is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Amy passed the Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agents exam in 2016 but has been providing tax services since 1996 under the supervision of others.
