Ruff Performing Arts is a Jordanian performing arts troupe founded in 2019, dedicated to developing a contemporary artistic language that expresses Jordanian identity on a global scale. Through theatre, dance, music, and visual arts, Ruff blends traditional and modern influences to create innovative performances rooted in local culture. One of Ruff’s key artistic explorations is the evolution of Jordanian folkloric dance. By incorporating the structured techniques of Ballet and the expressive fluidity of Contemporary Dance into the rhythmic foundation of Dabkeh, Ruff has pioneered a new approach to movement-based storytelling.
