Run For Rossy
Run For Rossy (R4R) started as an idea to try and help a mate who had just been given the life shattering news of an MND diagnosis. Rossy was 31 at the time and his friends Josh (Webby) and Josh (Newy) put their heads together to create an event to help raise funds for Rossy and his family. What started as an effort to help an individual has now turned into a far-reaching cause to raise awareness and funds for the wider MND community. R4R is now an annual charity run and major fundraising event of Beat The Beast going into its 3rd year raising funds partnering with FightMND to help them find a cure and support those with the disease. Early in the morning on Wednesday 23rd August, Chris sadly lost his battle with the Beast after valiantly facing the relentless challenge of MND. He passed away surrounded by the warmth of his family’s love. Even in his final days he remained unwavering in his commitment to making a difference. He strived for the 3rd edition of R4R to flourish and go ahead. Chris’s "Beat The Beast" journey is far from over. His legacy will "Keep On Livin’" through our collective efforts to raise vital funds that pave the way for effective treatments and, one day, a cure for MND.
