Introduction to Rush House: Rush House has been running for 40 years this year, accommodating and supporting young homeless people within Rotherham. We offer a wraparound support focusing on independence skills as well as accommodation to give them the best possible chance of succeeding in the future. We always endeavour to bring in other specialist agencies to offer support and fun stuff too. As well as the accommodation we have several other projects running alongside, which are available to all across Rotherham, not just those within Rush House. • Smile for Miles – supporting 16/17 year olds with educational life skills, CV writing, interview skills, getting them into education or employment, supporting with coursework • Brighter Futures – supporting 18-30 year olds across Rotherham to get into Employment/Education/Training, supporting those who are furthest from the labour market, focusing on barriers to accessing EET such as Mental health / housing etc • Anything’s Possible Rotherham – Project until June 2022, support 16+(no upper age limit) into EET • A Place Of Your Own (APOYO) – a bespoke pre tenancy training programme focusing on 8 areas of having your own accommodation. This has been funded by RMBC to be delivered across Rotherham (via online portal that will be going live very soon) and will be available to be purchased by any local authority / organisation. Ideally we are always looking for referrals, however also looking for some opportunities for such as volunteering / apprenticeships / education / employment, or even work insight placements.
