Russian Pellet Union

The Russian Pellet Union (RPU) is an independent, non-commercial organization. It facilitates a platform for discussing current issues and initiating initiatives for sustainable development of Russia’s pellet sector. The members of the Union represent 60% of the wood pellet exports to Europe. The Russian government granted the RPU the status of Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO). This unique status in the Russian pellet sector strengthens RPU’s negotiation position with state bodies and natural monopolies. The Russian Pellet Union aims to develop transparent market conditions. The Union's code of conduct covers requirements in the field of legality, sustainability, transparency, work safety, and internal evaluations. The Union demands its Members and Partners to commit themselves to the same principles. VALUES The values of the Russian Pellet Union are: ⋆ Integrity; ⋆ Commitment; ⋆ Sustainability; ⋆ Transparency. The values of the Union are binding to all Members and Partners. The Union evaluates new applicants and, on a yearly basis, its present Members. Members that do not comply with the internal requirements of the Union are expelled.
