Ruthless Kindness

Ruthless Kindness is a 501c3 nonprofit based in Sonoma County, California, founded by veterinarians Kate Kuzminski and Sarah Reidenbach. For the benefit of both animals and people, RK preserves the human animal bond in times of difficulty. We offer mobile veterinary services to victims of domestic violence, people who are homeless seeking shelter, and others facing obstacles that block access to veterinary care. Experience and research has shown that many people will not seek help for themselves if doing so means abandoning their pets. We remove a barrier to both people and animals accessing the services that they need, preserving the human animal bond and preventing the additional trauma of separation or animal surrender.
