Robinson Construction is the home of the Carpenters Boot Camp The Carpenters Boot Camp prepares trainees with the skills and knowledge to become a professional framing carpenter. This Carpentry and Core Skills training program, designed by Dr. Jacob Danner, prepares students with the fundamental skills and trade experience to embark on a carpentry career. Carpentry classes and curriculum include basic safety, proper tool use, introduction to construction drawings and math, framing techniques, and other related subjects. This skilled trade involves the handling and installation of building materials needed for the construction of residential and light commercial buildings. Students receive hands-on training while being paid. Students learn about: Basic mathematics and fractions Application of basic concepts in construction Maintenance and safe use of hand tools and power tools An introduction in reading construction drawings Wood & material classifications & identification Framing methods for floors, stairs, and exterior and interior walls Roof and floor system building techniques S.
