S&P Industrial was founded in 2014 with the desire to develop and market innovative products to improve operational efficiencies across a wide variety of industries. This aspiration was born from the development of the patented Reflex Suction Strainer for the fluid transfer industry. The 2-inch Reflex Suction Strainer was developed to solve an ongoing problem hampering mining, quarrying, tunnelling and construction operations around the world. De-watering operational areas is both time consuming and costly. One of the main costs to production is keeping suction lines clear, thus ensuring water is managed out efficiently and pumps are undamaged in high traffic areas. While there are many varieties of suction strainers on the market around the world including steel, poly and plastic, none of them have the ability to last in a high traffic environment. Some solutions have been to bore holes in roadways to protect the currently unreliable and unsafe forms of suction filtration. These are all expensive and inefficient. The S&P Reflex Suction Strainer is made from advanced chemically engineered elastomeric polymers allowing the design to operate in extremely harsh environments, including petrochemical, mining, agriculture, emergency services, military, marine and disaster zones. The Reflex Suction Strainer is also extremely safe as it has no metal parts and is lightweight.
