SafeNav delivers a dual-use, human-in-the-loop AI co-pilot that turns fragmented bridge data into clear, COLREG-compliant manoeuvre guidance. We help crews make earlier, safer decisions, reduce cognitive load on the bridge, and create the data trail needed for HSEQ, training, and future autonomy. At the core is the SafeNav Platform: a software-only, sensor-fusion layer that ingests AIS, radar/ARPA, EO/IR and GNSS/INS, applies COLREG rules in real time, and presents the navigator with an explainable “next action” - when to alter course, by how much, and how to return to the mission or voyage plan. Because it’s designed by navigators, for navigators, the interface follows maritime workflows rather than forcing them to change. SafeNav is built for dual use. Navies, coast guards and USV/ASV operators can use it to standardize decision-making in contested or congested waters and to supervise unmanned assets. Commercial operators can use the same platform to lower incident risk, improve situational awareness, and support safer, greener operations. One software baseline, multiple mission profiles. We are also first with DNV Approval in Principle (AROS/MASS path), which validates that our architecture, safety concept and human-in-the-loop approach are aligned with the maritime industry’s route to trusted autonomous navigation. Every advisory, encounter and near-miss can be logged to build a real HSEQ and ocean-observation data asset. That data supports safety culture, incident investigation, training replay and, over time, becomes the certifiable dataset that enables MASS-aligned, semi-autonomous navigation. Our roadmap is stepwise and realistic: Decision Support today → supervised/semi-autonomous operations → certified autonomous navigation.
