The Quality Control Laboratory of the Saffron Research Institute at Torbat Heydariyeh University was established in 2016 and, equipped with two specialized laboratories in physicochemistry and microbiology, it is one of the most well-equipped saffron quality control laboratories in Iran. This laboratory is a member of the Strategic Technologies Laboratory Network and was accredited by the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran in 2018 as the reference and collaborator of the institute. In this laboratory, the quality control of saffron is carried out based on international standard ISO 3632 and national standard ISIRI 259, which cover all the characteristics and grading of saffron. The laboratory aims to enhance specialized services in the field of saffron and achieve maximum customer satisfaction, especially for the esteemed farmers.
