SAIL Derbyshire is a registered charity that’s dedicated to supporting survivors of current and historic sexual abuse and incest. Providing free specialist services since 1992, empowering and supporting individuals to live safe lives in which they can Recover and Thrive. We offer a multitude of services within our charity, these include: Free Helpline: Confidential emotional and practical support, Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 2:30pm. IVSAs (Independent Sexual Violence Advisors): Person-centred practical and emotional support to anyone aged 18+, independent of the police, courts and other agencies. Support is provided regardless of whether you choose to report to the police or not. Counselling: Individual weekly counselling for up to six months, or even longer if the need arises. Additional Services: Art therapy, Drama therapy and Group counselling sessions are also available. At SAIL we believe, empower and support individuals through empathetic, client-led assistance without judgement. We are committed to running a service where everyone feels heard and valued and is provided with equal opportunities. Based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire we are a dedicated team of qualified professionals and volunteers who are committed to helping survivors on the journey to recovery.
