Sail Through Life

Life is like a sailing ship. you need a good captain and crew communicating well to run the ship, a clear destination and course to steer. You need to know how to set the sails for the prevailing winds, be adaptable to weather the storms and survive when becalmed. And you need a well trained parrot (your self talk) to keep you focused on the positives in life. Sail Through Life runs interactive games workshops for teenagers (and their parents/teachers) which teach the life skills required to navigate the issues facing our youth of today. Each workshop addresses a different topic in a fun and experiential environment which will give each participant young and old something to take away and apply to their lives."Pieces of Eight: what is your parrot saying?" is the signature course of the company which uses the theme of two parrots; a negative and a positive, to highlight self talk and how that effects our emotions and our behaviour. Captain Focus takes participants through a journey of self discovery to uncover the secrets of training your parrot! Courses run for 2 hours and are open to everyone 10 years and older. Particularly great for parents to attend with their teens to give them a common language and framework to continue to apply the learnings long after the course is finished.
