Growing up in a Cuban household, I watched, learned, and practiced in the comfort of my own home, with my mother, aunts, and sisters. Although, I was influenced by many, my mother influenced me the most. During my late teenage years, I was a constant at weekly dances and dancing clubs in South Florida. I have been dancing for over 40 years. Helping others improve their dancing skills is what I have done since my teenage years. Whether it was tinkering with their footwork, helping them with the ability to lead or follow, showing them new turns, or leading the learning curve in “Rueda de Casino”, helping others has been incredibly rewarding.
