It can help forge new communities, pursue political and social agenda in support of a better society, and help build visions of hope and resistance. Sadly the media can also lead in negative directions: dividing people and truncating hope and vision. In our country, the media have played both roles at different times in our history. Salvo Newspaper published by kunsam limited was established in 2007 after satisfying the necessary requirement as required by Law. Salvo Newspaper is basically designed as a framework where current socio-political, economic, religious and other happenings in the country or the world at large could be examined and discussed. After thorough examination of other newspapers in the country, salvo seeks to take giant strides in the quality of information dissemination by reshaping and redefining minds through the use of simple and unambiguous writings and reporting of events for easy assimilation for both the highly educated and the “Layman” through mediums devoid of bias and prejudice. Bearing all these points in mind, it is our belief that in the nearest future, Salvo Newspaper would be on the lips of most readers in the society especially those situated in the remote areas who occupy the topmost position on our priority list.
